What this calculator does
Collecting a full set of random candy toys, trading cards, or stickers is a classic example of the ‘coupon collector’s problem’ in probability. This calculator estimates how many more random pulls you’ll need, on average, to finish your set.
How the calculation works
Assuming each pull is equally likely to be any item in the set (with repeats possible), the expected number of additional pulls needed to go from your current unique count to a complete set is the sum, for each remaining item, of the set size divided by how many item types you still lack. This comes directly from the standard coupon collector’s problem formula.
This is a probability-based average, not a guarantee — real results vary, especially since some collectible items are often distributed with unequal odds rather than perfectly evenly.
