What this calculator does

International Morse Code represents letters and digits as sequences of short (dot) and long (dash) signals. This translator converts up to eight selected characters into their Morse code equivalents.

How the calculation works

Each selected character is looked up in the standard ITU International Morse Code table, which assigns a unique combination of dots and dashes to every letter A-Z and digit 0-9. A forward slash represents the gap between words (a selected space). Codes for each character are shown separated by spaces.

This tool covers the standard letters and digits; punctuation and prosigns use additional Morse code sequences not included here.
