How this calculator works
Electricity cost for any single use of an appliance depends on three things: how many watts it draws, how long you run it, and your electricity rate. This calculator converts your appliance’s wattage and run time into kilowatt-hours (kWh), then multiplies by your rate.
The formula
Energy (kWh) = Wattage ÷ 1000 × Hours used. Cost = Energy (kWh) × your rate per kWh. Check your last utility bill for your exact rate, since it varies by location, provider, and time of use.
This gives an estimate for a single session and does not include fixed monthly fees or tiered/time-of-use pricing your utility may apply.
