🍦 Whipped Cream Calculator
Whipped cream roughly doubles in volume when whipped. Use this calculator to plan exactly how much cream to buy.
How much whipped cream will my cream make?
Heavy cream roughly doubles in volume when it’s whipped, since the whisking process traps air bubbles throughout the fat and liquid. This calculator uses that standard 1:2 ratio (1 cup of heavy cream yields about 2 cups of whipped cream) to convert between the two.
How to use it
Choose whether you know how much heavy cream you have on hand, or how much finished whipped cream you need, and enter that amount. The calculator also suggests standard amounts of powdered sugar and vanilla extract for lightly sweetened whipped cream, based on a common recipe ratio of about 2 tablespoons of sugar and 1/2 teaspoon of vanilla per cup of heavy cream.
For best results, use cold heavy cream (36% milkfat or higher) and chill your bowl and beaters beforehand; actual yield can vary slightly with cream temperature and whipping time.
