🥗 Weight Watchers Points Calculator
Enter a food’s calories, fat and fiber per serving to estimate its points using the publicly documented legacy PointsPlus-style formula.
How points are estimated
This calculator uses the publicly documented legacy PointsPlus-style formula that estimates a food’s point value from its calories, total fat and dietary fiber per serving, favoring foods that are lower in calories and fat and higher in fiber.
The formula
Points = (Calories × 0.0305) + (Total Fat in grams × 0.275) − (Dietary Fiber in grams, capped at 4g, × 0.125), rounded to the nearest whole number.
- Fiber’s point-reducing effect is capped at 4 grams per serving
- Multiply by number of servings for a total for the whole portion
Note: Current Weight Watchers programs (SmartPoints / PersonalPoints) use a proprietary, personalized algorithm that differs from this legacy public formula and is not published. This calculator is for general educational and meal-planning estimation only and is not affiliated with or endorsed by WW International.
