Weight Loss Progress Calculator
Enter your starting weight, current weight, and goal weight to see how far you’ve come and how long it may take to reach your target at your current pace.
How this calculator works
This tool measures your weight loss progress by comparing how much you’ve already lost to how much you originally set out to lose. It divides your weight lost so far by your total goal difference (starting weight minus goal weight) to produce a simple percent-complete figure.
The math behind it
Your average weekly rate is calculated as total weight lost divided by the number of weeks that have passed. That rate is then used to project roughly how many more weeks it would take to reach your goal weight if you kept losing at the same pace. This is a straight-line estimate, not a guarantee — actual progress often slows or speeds up over time.
A few notes
- Healthy, sustainable weight loss is generally considered to be about 0.25–1 kg (0.5–2 lb) per week.
- This calculator is for general planning and educational purposes only and is not a substitute for advice from a qualified health professional.
- Progress isn’t always linear — water retention, muscle gain, and daily fluctuations can all affect the number on the scale.
