Sunscreen Calculator
Estimate how much sunscreen you need per application and for your whole trip, based on the standard recommended amount.
How Sunscreen Amounts Are Estimated
Dermatology guidance commonly recommends about 1 ounce (a full shot glass) to cover an adult’s exposed body in swimwear for one application, with smaller amounts needed when only the face, neck, or a few exposed areas need coverage.
This calculator multiplies a per-application amount (based on how much of your body is exposed) by your number of daily applications and trip length to estimate total ounces needed, then figures out how many bottles of your chosen size to pack or buy.
This is a general planning estimate for educational purposes, not medical or dermatological advice. Reapply as directed on your sunscreen’s label, especially after swimming, sweating, or towel-drying.
