⏱️ Running Split Calculator
Enter your race distance and goal finish time to calculate the even pace splits you’ll need to hold per kilometer and per mile.
What this calculator does
It converts a total race distance and goal finish time into an even, steady pace per kilometer and per mile — the pace you’d need to hold from start to finish to reach your goal with no positive or negative splitting.
The formula
The core calculation is simple: Pace per Unit = Total Goal Time ÷ Total Distance. This calculator applies it per kilometer and per mile so you can pace off whichever markers your race or GPS watch uses, and also shows your halfway split time as a quick mid-race checkpoint.
Running perfectly even splits isn’t required for a good race — many experienced racers use a slight negative split (running the second half a touch faster) — but knowing your target even pace gives you a clear baseline to compare against as you run.
