Palindrome Date Finder
A palindrome date reads the same forwards and backwards once written as digits. Enter a starting date and format to find the next one.
What is a palindrome date?
A palindrome date is a calendar date that reads exactly the same forwards and backwards once it is written entirely as digits, in a specific format. For example, in MM/DD/YYYY format, 12/02/2021 reads the same both ways.
How this calculator works
Enter a starting date and choose a date format (US, international, or ISO). The calculator writes each date as a digit string in that format and checks it, day by day starting from your chosen date, until it finds the next one that is a true palindrome.
- Different formats produce different palindrome dates, since the digit order changes.
- Palindrome dates in some formats are rarer than others because of the number of digits involved.
This tool is for general curiosity and planning purposes, such as picking a memorable date for an event.
