🕶️ Sunglasses Size Calculator
Find a recommended sunglasses frame size based on your face width, and learn how frame measurement codes work.
How sunglasses sizing works
Sunglasses and eyeglass frames are measured using three numbers printed on the inside of the temple arm: lens width, bridge width, and temple arm length, all in millimeters. Getting the total frame width close to your face width (temple to temple) is the main factor in a comfortable fit.
How this calculator works
The calculator adds a small margin to your face width based on your preferred fit (snug, standard, or relaxed) to recommend a total frame width, then estimates typical lens and bridge width proportions (roughly 42% and 9% of total frame width respectively) based on common frame design ratios, and categorizes the result into a general size range.
These are general sizing guidelines — actual fit varies by frame shape, brand, and personal preference, so trying frames on (or checking a brand’s specific size chart) is the most reliable approach.
