The cylinder volume formula

A cylinder’s volume is the area of its circular base multiplied by its height: Volume = π × r² × h. Its total surface area adds the areas of the two circular ends to the curved lateral surface that wraps around the side.

How to use this calculator

Enter the radius of the circular base and the height of the cylinder in the same unit of length. The calculator returns the volume, the total surface area, and the lateral (side-only) surface area.

This tool is for general math, design, and educational use.
