What this calculator does

This tool converts capacitance values between the units commonly printed on capacitors and used in electronics: farads (F), millifarads (mF), microfarads (µF), nanofarads (nF), and picofarads (pF).

How the calculation works

Each unit is a metric power-of-ten multiple of the farad, the SI unit of capacitance. The calculator first converts your entered value into farads by multiplying it by the source unit’s multiplier (for example, 1 µF = 0.000001 F), then divides by the target unit’s multiplier to get the final converted value.

This tool is intended for general electronics reference and educational use.
