How Unicode bold text works
Bold text generators work by mapping ordinary letters and numbers to special Unicode ‘Mathematical Alphanumeric Symbols’ characters that visually render as bold, regardless of the app or website you paste them into. This is different from HTML or app-native bold formatting because the boldness is baked into the characters themselves.
How this tool works
Type your text in the input above, and each character is looked up in a Unicode bold character map (sans-serif or serif bold, depending on your selection) and replaced with its bold Unicode equivalent. The resulting text can be copied and pasted into social media bios, captions, or messages that don’t otherwise support rich text formatting.
Note that not every character has a bold Unicode equivalent (some symbols and punctuation marks will remain unchanged), and rendering may vary slightly by device or font support.
