🧮 Binary to Hexadecimal Converter

Enter a binary number to see its hexadecimal, decimal, and octal equivalents.

How this binary to hexadecimal converter works

This tool converts a binary (base-2) number into its hexadecimal (base-16) equivalent. It first reads the binary digits you enter, treats them as a base-2 number, and converts that value to decimal (base-10) as an intermediate step.

From decimal, the calculator repeatedly divides by 16 and maps each remainder to a hex digit (0-9, then A-F for 10-15) to build the hexadecimal result. Because each hex digit represents exactly four binary digits, hexadecimal is a compact, common way to represent binary data in programming and computer science.

Only the digits 0 and 1 are used from your input; any other characters are ignored. This tool is intended for general learning and reference purposes.
