⚖️ Post Judgment Interest Calculator
Estimate how much interest has accrued on an unpaid court judgment since it was entered.
What is post-judgment interest?
When a court enters a money judgment, the unpaid balance typically continues to accrue interest until it’s paid in full. This is called post-judgment interest, and the rate and method are usually set by statute or by the judgment itself and vary by jurisdiction.
How this calculator works
Enter the original judgment amount, the applicable annual interest rate, and how many days have passed since the judgment was entered. Most jurisdictions apply simple interest (interest only on the original amount, not on previously accrued interest), which this calculator uses by default; an annually-compounding option is also available for jurisdictions that apply it that way.
