🎤 Vocal Range Calculator
Enter your lowest and highest singable notes to see your total vocal range and a general voice type estimate.
What this calculator does
Your vocal range is the span of notes, from lowest to highest, that you can comfortably sing. This calculator measures that span in semitones and octaves and offers a general voice classification based on common ranges used in choral and vocal training.
How it works
Select your lowest and highest comfortable notes. The calculator counts the number of semitones between them (12 semitones make one octave) and compares your range against typical classification bands for bass, baritone, tenor, alto, mezzo-soprano, and soprano voices.
Voice classification in practice also considers tone color (timbre), vocal weight, and transition points, not range alone, so treat the result here as a general educational estimate rather than a formal classification from a vocal coach.
