What Newton’s second law states
Newton’s second law of motion states that the net force acting on an object equals its mass multiplied by its acceleration: F = ma. This calculator lets you solve for whichever of the three quantities you don’t already know.
How this calculator works
Choose which value to solve for, then enter the other two. If solving for force, it multiplies mass by acceleration. If solving for mass, it divides force by acceleration. If solving for acceleration, it divides force by mass.
This applies to a single net force on a rigid body of constant mass, moving non-relativistically. For general physics education purposes.
