⬔ Hexagon Area Calculator
Enter the side length of a regular hexagon to instantly calculate its area, perimeter, and apothem.
What this calculator does
This tool finds the area, perimeter, and apothem of a regular hexagon (a six-sided polygon with all sides and angles equal) from a single measurement: the length of one side.
The formula
For a regular hexagon with side length s, the area is A = (3ā3 / 2) Ć s². This comes from splitting the hexagon into six equal equilateral triangles and adding up their areas. The perimeter is simply 6 Ć s, and the apothem (the distance from the center to the middle of a side) is (sā3) / 2.
- Works for any unit of length – just keep your input consistent.
- Only valid for regular hexagons, where every side and angle is equal.
This tool is intended for general math, design, and educational planning purposes.
