The cone volume formula
A right circular cone’s volume is exactly one-third of a cylinder with the same base and height: Volume = (1/3) × π × r² × h. The slant height, used for surface area, is the straight-line distance from the base edge to the apex, found with the Pythagorean theorem.
How to use this calculator
Enter the radius of the circular base and the vertical height of the cone. The calculator returns the volume, the slant height, and the total surface area (base plus the curved lateral surface).
This tool is for general math, design, and educational use.
