🪥 Toothpaste Usage Calculator
Find out how long a tube of toothpaste will last you and what each brushing costs.
How toothpaste usage is estimated
A standard toothpaste tube holds a fixed volume, and each brushing uses roughly a pea-sized amount (about 1 milliliter for adults, per common dental hygiene guidance). Knowing your household’s usage rate lets you predict how long a tube lasts and what oral care costs over time.
How this calculator works
The calculator multiplies the amount used per brushing by the number of brushings per day and the number of people sharing the tube to find daily usage, then divides the tube size by daily usage to estimate how many days the tube lasts. From there it computes cost per brushing and projects an annual tube count and cost.
This tool is for general household budgeting and planning; actual usage varies by brushing habits and tube size, and this is not dental care advice — follow your dentist’s recommendations for brushing frequency and technique.
