SIP Calculator – Systematic Investment Plan
Estimate how a monthly Systematic Investment Plan (SIP) could grow over time based on your contribution, expected return, and investment period.
What a SIP calculator does
A Systematic Investment Plan (SIP) lets you invest a fixed amount at regular intervals, usually monthly, into a fund rather than putting in a lump sum. This calculator estimates the future value of that stream of monthly investments based on an assumed average annual rate of return.
The formula used
The calculator applies the standard SIP future value formula for an ordinary annuity with payments at the start of each period: FV = P × [((1 + i)n – 1) / i] × (1 + i), where P is the monthly investment, i is the monthly rate of return (annual rate divided by 12), and n is the total number of monthly installments.
The estimated returns shown are simply the difference between the projected future value and the total amount you actually contributed.
