What this calculator does

The Time Duration Calculator finds the exact amount of time between a start time and an end time, on a 24-hour clock, given in hours and minutes.

How it works

Enter your start hour and minute, then your end hour and minute. The calculator converts both times to total minutes since midnight and subtracts. If the end time is earlier than the start time, it assumes the end time falls on the next day and adds 24 hours worth of minutes, which is flagged in the results.

This is handy for timing shifts, calculating time worked, or figuring out how long an event lasts when you only know the start and end clock times.
