What this calculator does
The PTE Academic test reports an overall score alongside four communicative skill scores: Listening, Reading, Speaking, and Writing, each on a 10-90 scale. This calculator gives a simple estimate of the overall score from those four inputs.
How the calculation works
The estimate is the straight average of the four communicative skill scores, rounded to the nearest whole point, which reflects the general principle that the overall score is derived from combining all four skills.
This is a simplified estimate for general study planning purposes only. The real PTE scoring model also weighs enabling skills like grammar, vocabulary, and pronunciation, so your actual official score may differ from this estimate.
