How the Pomodoro Technique Works
The Pomodoro Technique breaks work into focused intervals (traditionally 25 minutes) separated by short breaks (typically 5 minutes), with a longer break (often 15 minutes) after every four sessions to help sustain focus over longer periods.
This calculator simulates that cycle against your total available time, counting how many complete focus sessions fit in, including the short and long breaks between them, so you can see how your available time actually breaks down.
Session and break lengths are fully adjustable here since personal preferences vary — the classic 25/5/15 pattern is just the traditional starting point.
