How this grade calculator works
Many courses weight different categories of work differently, for example homework might count for 25% of your grade while exams count for 50%. This calculator computes your overall weighted average across up to four categories using the standard weighted-average formula: multiply each category’s score by its weight, add those together, then divide by the total weight entered.
Only leave weight fields at 0 for categories you are not using; the calculator automatically ignores any category with a weight of 0 and adjusts the total accordingly.

- Weights do not need to add up to exactly 100%; the calculator normalizes using the total weight you actually enter.
