EBITDA Multiple Calculator
Estimate a company’s enterprise value by applying an EBITDA multiple, a common quick valuation method.
What is an EBITDA multiple?
An EBITDA multiple is a quick valuation method that estimates a company’s enterprise value by multiplying its EBITDA (Earnings Before Interest, Taxes, Depreciation, and Amortization) by a multiple derived from comparable company transactions or industry norms.
The formula
Enterprise Value = EBITDA × EBITDA Multiple. Subtracting net debt (total debt minus cash) from enterprise value gives an estimate of implied equity value, the portion attributable to shareholders.
