🔋 E-Bike Range Calculator
Estimate the riding range of your e-bike on a single charge based on battery size, assist level, and typical energy use.
What this calculator does
It estimates how many kilometers or miles an e-bike can travel on a full charge, based on the battery’s total energy and how much power the motor typically draws at a given assist level.
The formula
Battery energy is Watt-hours = Voltage × Amp-hours. Range is then estimated as Usable Energy ÷ Average Energy Consumption per Kilometer, where usable energy accounts for the fact that most riders don’t drain a battery to 0% (a typical usable depth of discharge is 80-90% to protect battery life). Average consumption (roughly 9-22 Wh/km) depends heavily on assist level, rider weight, terrain, tire pressure, and wind.
These figures are typical estimates — actual range varies by hill climbing, temperature, cargo, and riding style, and can differ noticeably from a manufacturer’s advertised maximum range.
