The eye-level mounting rule
The generally recommended TV mounting guideline places the center of the screen at your seated eye level, which reduces neck strain during viewing. This calculator estimates the screen’s physical height using the standard 16:9 aspect ratio approximation (screen height ≈ diagonal × 0.49), then centers that height on your seated eye level to find where the bottom and top of the screen should sit.
Measure seated eye height from the floor to your eyes while sitting in your normal viewing spot for the most accurate result.
