Liquid net worth is the portion of your overall net worth held in cash or assets that can quickly be converted to cash without significant loss of value, minus your short-term debts.
The formula
Liquid Net Worth = (Cash + Savings + Liquid Investments) − Short-Term Liabilities. Unlike total net worth, it excludes illiquid assets such as real estate, retirement accounts with withdrawal penalties, or a private business stake.
