What are Gross Rating Points?

Gross Rating Points (GRP) measure the total weight or exposure of an advertising campaign across a target audience, combining how many people it reaches with how often they see it.

The formula

GRP = Reach (%) × Frequency. For example, a campaign reaching 60% of an audience an average of 4 times has 240 GRPs. GRPs are widely used in traditional media planning (TV, radio, out-of-home) to compare the overall weight of different campaigns.
