🌍 GDP per Capita Calculator
Estimate the average economic output per person in a country or region by calculating GDP per capita.
What Is GDP per Capita?
GDP per capita divides a country’s total Gross Domestic Product by its population, giving a rough measure of average economic output (and, loosely, living standards) per person. It is widely used to compare the relative economic size of countries on a per-person basis.
The Formula
GDP per Capita = Total GDP ÷ Population.
GDP per capita does not account for income distribution within a country, so it can differ significantly from the income of a typical household, especially in economies with high inequality. For inflation-adjusted comparisons over time, real GDP should be used instead of nominal GDP. This tool is intended for general educational and planning purposes.
