What this calculator finds
Displacement is the change in position of an object, including direction. This calculator uses the kinematics equation s = ut + ½at², where u is initial velocity, a is acceleration, and t is time, to find how far an object travels under constant acceleration.
How it works
Enter the object’s initial velocity, its constant acceleration, and the elapsed time. The calculator plugs these values into the equation of motion to compute displacement, and also reports the final velocity using v = u + at.
This formula assumes constant (uniform) acceleration in a straight line. It is intended for general physics education and planning purposes, not for safety-critical engineering calculations.
