What is a body shape calculator?
This tool compares your bust, waist, and hip measurements to estimate which common body shape category you fall into: hourglass, pear, apple, inverted triangle, or rectangle. It is a widely used, informal way to describe body proportions, often used for clothing fit guidance.
How it works
The calculator looks at how close your bust and hip measurements are to each other and compares your waist to your hips using the waist-to-hip ratio. A small bust-hip difference with a notably narrower waist suggests an hourglass shape, while a hip measurement clearly larger than the bust suggests a pear shape, and so on.
