BMI Calculator for Women
Calculate your Body Mass Index and an estimated body fat percentage using a formula that accounts for your height, weight, and age.
What this calculator does
This calculator finds your Body Mass Index (BMI) from your height and weight, then adds an estimated body fat percentage using a formula that also factors in your age, since body composition naturally shifts with age even at the same BMI.
The formulas used
BMI is calculated as weight in kilograms divided by height in meters squared. The standard adult categories apply: under 18.5 is underweight, 18.5–24.9 is normal weight, 25–29.9 is overweight, and 30 or above is obese. Body fat percentage is estimated with the widely cited Deurenberg formula for women: (1.20 × BMI) + (0.23 × age) − 5.4.
Note: BMI is a population-level screening tool, not a diagnosis, and the body fat estimate is an approximation — it does not account for muscle mass, bone density, or pregnancy. This calculator is for general educational and planning purposes only, not a substitute for professional medical advice.
