What is a bike EMI

An EMI, or equated monthly installment, is the fixed monthly payment you make to repay a two-wheeler loan. Each EMI includes a portion that goes toward the principal (the amount borrowed) and a portion that goes toward interest.

How the EMI is calculated

This calculator uses the standard EMI formula: EMI = P x r x (1+r)^n / ((1+r)^n – 1), where P is the loan amount (principal), r is the monthly interest rate (annual rate divided by 12 and by 100), and n is the number of monthly installments. As the loan progresses, more of each EMI goes toward principal and less toward interest, even though the total EMI amount stays the same.

This tool is for general planning and education. Your actual loan terms, fees, and EMI amount will be set by your lender and may include processing charges or other costs not reflected here.
