How this calculator works
The AP World History exam pairs a 55-question multiple-choice section (worth 40% of the composite) with a free-response section combining Short Answer Questions, a Document-Based Question, and a Long Essay Question (worth 60% of the composite, out of 22 raw points). This tool scales your raw points on each section into a 0-100 composite and maps it to the 1-5 AP scale using cutoffs consistent with recent AP World curves.
Note: Exact cutoffs vary by year, so this is an educational estimate for general planning purposes, not an official score.
