How this calculator works
The AP English Language exam pairs a 45-question multiple-choice section (worth 45% of the composite) with three essays scored 0-6 each, totaling 18 points and worth 55% of the composite. This tool scales your raw points on each section into a 0-100 composite and maps it to the 1-5 AP scale using cutoffs consistent with recent AP Lang curves.
