How this calculator works

The AP Biology exam combines a 60-question multiple-choice section and a free-response section, each weighted 50% of your composite score. This tool converts your raw points on each section into a 0-100 composite, then maps that composite to the 1-5 AP scale using score cutoffs consistent with recently released AP Biology curves.

Note: The College Board sets exact cutoffs each year based on exam difficulty, so this is an educational estimate for general planning purposes, not an official score.
