What angular frequency measures

Angular frequency describes how rapidly an oscillating or rotating system cycles, expressed in radians per second rather than cycles per second. It is widely used in wave motion, AC electrical circuits, and rotational dynamics.

The formula used

This calculator uses ω = 2πf, where f is the frequency in hertz. If you provide the period instead, it first converts to frequency using f = 1/T, then applies the same formula.

This applies to any steady, repeating oscillation or rotation. For general physics education purposes.
