How the ACT composite score is calculated

The ACT composite score is the average of your four section scaled scores: English, Math, Reading, and Science, each scored on a scale of 1 to 36. The official ACT rounds the average to the nearest whole number (0.5 rounds up), which is exactly what this calculator does.

How to use this calculator
