🙃 Upside-Down Text Generator

Pick up to eight characters to flip your text upside down using reversed order and look-alike Unicode characters.

How upside-down text works

Upside-down text generators don’t actually rotate letters — they substitute each character with a different Unicode character that happens to look like the original flipped 180 degrees, then reverse the character order so the whole word reads correctly when turned upside down.

How this tool works

Select each character of your text from the dropdowns above. The tool reverses the character order and swaps in each character’s upside-down look-alike from a standard mapping table, then shows the result next to your original text so you can copy the flipped version.

Not every letter, number, or symbol has a true upside-down Unicode equivalent (a few, like the letters H, I, N, S, X, and Z, already look the same either way), and font support for some of these characters varies by device.
