This calculator determines the profit or loss on a stock trade by comparing what you paid to buy shares against what you received selling them, net of any trading fees.
The formula
Profit/Loss = (Sell Price × Shares) − (Buy Price × Shares) − Fees. Dividing that profit by your original cost basis gives your percentage return on the trade.
