The 8:1 portal rule
In block-building sandbox games with a linked ‘nether’ dimension, one block traveled in the alternate dimension corresponds to eight blocks in the main world. This calculator applies that fixed ratio: divide Overworld coordinates by 8 to find the matching Nether coordinates, or multiply Nether coordinates by 8 to find the matching Overworld coordinates.
This helps you build portals that link up correctly instead of generating a stray new portal far from where you intended.
