Why fees matter so much

Even a seemingly small annual fee can compound into a large cost over long investment horizons, because the fee reduces the base amount that would otherwise keep compounding.

The method

This calculator compares the projected final value of an investment growing at the full (gross) annual return against the same investment growing at the net return (gross return minus the fee), both compounded annually over the chosen period. The difference is the total cost of fees.
